About Star Of I.S.I.S. Lodge, O.T.O.:
Representing the populace of the Greater Vancouver Regional District / Metro Vancouver, Our Body had its beginning in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, as the Star Of Isis Camp (Encampment), an official body of the Ordo Templi Orientis, O.T.O., in the first quarter of 1995 e.v. Since that time we immediately went into motion with a number of lectures and workshop series that built upon the principles of Thelema of the O.T.O. and grew in numerous ways which required that we expand and become an Oasis, the next level of responsibility.
We became officially recognized as Star Of ISIS Oasis in the second quarter of 1998 e.v., again located in Burnaby, with a continuing agenda to serve the Greater Vancouver Regional District / Metro Vancouver Thelemic community, as we also expanded our services to the full Membership of the Fraternity and the E.G.C. Church through all Bodies in the region. Since then we have continued our service with and to the O.T.O., increasing our number of E.G.C. Masses as well as an ever increasing schedule and quality of Initiations and workshops for our Members.
Most recently, we were both honoured and pleased in the first quarter of 2007 e.v., to be informed that we had been elevated to Lodge status and we are now known officially as Star Of I.S.I.S. Lodge, still centered in Burnaby, British Columbia and continuing to serve our Members which live throughout the Greater Vancouver Regional District / Metro Vancouver. We continue to be an initiating body of the Ordo Templi Orientis, O.T.O., with multiple Charters to Initiate 0°-III° as before, but now also able to initiate within our own Body the IV° & PI Degrees necessary to complete the Man of Earth Triad with the assistance of our local Sovereign Grand Inspector General (S.G.I.G.). In addition, we are able to now perform Knight of the East & West (K.E.W.) initiations in-house as well as Fifth (V°) Degree Initiations in service to Abiegnus Chapter Rose-Croix of the O.T.O., when called upon We continue to give both private and public classes / lectures to assist the O.T.O. and the Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica (E.G.C.) in promulgating the Law of Thelema.
Star Of I.S.I.S. Lodge and its Members are in allegiance to Hymenaeus Beta, who being the rightful Head of the Ordo Templi Orientis, O.T.O., effectively assists all true aspirants, and defends the O.T.O. against those who would illegitimately lay claim to our lineage and heritage.
We defend the O.T.O.’s legally defined and natural right to sole ownership and executorships of all Thelemic writings from the A∴A∴ , O.T.O. (Ordo Templi Orientis), E.G.C. (Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica) as per the wishes and will of Aleister Crowley.

What We Do:
The Star Of I.S.I.S. Lodge continues to offer initiation up to and including the Third (0°-III°) Degree of the M.M.M. of the Ordo Templi Orientis, O.T.O., and now also the Fourth and Perfect Initiate (IV°&P.I.), Knight of the East and West and Fifth (V°) Degrees with assistance by our local S.G.I.G. Each Degree of initiation is followed up with a workshop for the Initiates of that degree so as to engage their understanding of what they have experienced; these come in both lecture and open discussion format. We also perform the Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica (E.G.C.) Mass twice monthly, with supplemental Mass information and Officer training workshops to increase the participants’ and Laity’s awareness of the rite and to provide the necessary adjuncts for the Membership to grow in the E.G.C. through Baptism, Confirmation and Ordinations as a Child, a Deacon, and eventually as a Priest or Priestess, overseen by Metro Vancouver’s local Bishop.
We are a creative and experienced group of individuals who in a collaborative effort provide Thelemic workshops including, but not limited to, Magick, Hermeticism, Gnosticism, Yoga, Tarot, Qabalah, Astrology, Philosophy, Psychology and the making and building of the necessary Ritual Equipment. In addition there is a regular opportunity for members to lecture and organize special interest workshops not already encompassed in the regular slate of events. Social events allow for our Members and invited guests to come together in a relaxed fashion so as to build friendship and the sense of comradery necessary to an evolving community.
